Mariposa Women and Family Center recently partnered temporarily Mary Kay Inc.! For the past 4 months, Mary Kay Beauty Consultant Michelle Silvestri helped Mariposa Women and Family Center continue to provide victims of domestic abuse and other women with the confidence they need to make their lives their own.
From now until December 15th, 2009, the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation will recieve $1 for every limited-edition Pink Passion and Gingerbread Creme Lipstick purchased from the Beauty That Counts™ line of Mary Kay cosmetics. Through Michelle Silvestri, customers can donate their purchase to the clients at Mariposa Women and Family Center.

With the donation of one of these specially-designated tubes of lipstick, Mary Kay customers automatically send $1 to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation and give a lovely gift bag containing the purchased lipstick to a woman at Mariposa Women and Family Center. Along with the lipstick, clients who participated in the Job Fit in 6 Weeks workshop at Mariposa over the summer were able to attend a class led by Michelle Silvestri who spoke with them about the importance of creating and maintaining a professional appearance in today's workplace. Both the lipstick and the class were designed to give these women a boost of confidence and the ability to succeed.
