Women helping women

At Mariposa, we couldn’t do what we do without your help; it truly takes a village! We greatly appreciate our volunteers and have many opportunities available. Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities we have available:

Committee volunteers

If you’re good with numbers, love to plan events, or find satisfaction attending to details, we have a place for you on one of our committees! The Finance Committee, Annual Gala Committee, and Audit Committee are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers.

If you’re passionate about the work we do at Mariposa and empowering women and families to achieve positive change in their lives, we would love to have you represent Mariposa as an ambassador. Mariposa ambassadors are people who will introduce Mariposa to the community, host small gatherings for our CEO to speak at, and are comfortable referring both clients and donors to Mariposa.

If you think variety is the spice of life, we’d love for you to consider volunteering for special projects on-site at our office. We usually have a number of different types of projects that we could use help with, which are coordinated with our Front Desk Manager.

Come intern with us!

At Mariposa, our team of counselors is passionate about the issue of women’s mental health and we love what we do. Intern counselors are an important part of our team, and those who train at Mariposa will gain an enriching learning experience under the guidance of a clinical supervisor.

You will learn evidence-based techniques for the assessment, intervention, diagnosis and treatment planning for gender-specific care during a yearlong commitment of 10-20 hours per week. Depending on what program you are placed in, there is an opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and clinical issues. Apply today.

Please send cover letter and resume to Director Megan Mallon mmallon@mariposacenter.org
